Job Overview:
As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for four processes: accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and banking.
Accruals
- Verify that transactions have an assigned cost and sale.
- Analyze the accuracy of the recorded amount and verify that the transaction status is complete.
- Record the accruals and administrative expenses in the ERP system.
Accounts Payable
- Analysis of accounts payable and ensuring accurate records in the ERP system.
- Monthly control and reconciliation of accounts payable with the AP Analyst.
- Weekly review of entries made by the AP Analyst (purchase invoices and payments).
Accounts Receivable
- Analyze accounts receivable and ensure proper recording in the ERP.
- Monthly control and reconciliation of accounts receivable with the AR Analyst.
- Weekly review of entries made by the AR Analyst (sales invoices and collections).
Banking
- Weekly upload of bank statements for three checking accounts.
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations in the Banking module.
Financial Statements
Review and provide comments on monthly variances in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
Requirements / Skills:
- Solid knowledge of accounting and experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP (not mandatory – training will be provided in all relevant modules).
- Ability to record accounting transactions and properly maintain accounting records.
- Ability to work in a team, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills are highly valued.
