Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil & gas, and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange & COMEX, and we provide LME/CME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas.

Purpose of the position:

As a Commercial Analyst Intern, you’ll dive into the heart of the logistics and commodities industry, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to critical projects. This internship is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of the market, focusing on LME/CME (London Metal Exchange) analysis, stock reporting, and the intricacies of shipping and commodities trading. The internship would run for 6 months, after a review period there is the possibility that the role is converted to a full time role.

Key Requirements/ Responsibilities:

• LME/CME Analysis: Track and analyze LME/CME data, providing insights into market trends, price movements, and their potential impact on our operations.
• Stock Reporting: Manage and compile reports on stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for decision-making.
• Market Research: Conduct research on global commodities markets, including supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and economic indicators.
• Freight Logistics: Gain an understanding of shipping, trucking and rail operations, including chartering, rate analysis, and port logistics.
• Project Support: Assist in various projects related to commodities trading and logistics, offering support where needed to ensure successful outcomes.

Who You Are:

• Recently graduated from a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, or a related field.
• A keen interest in the logistics and commodities sector, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
• Right to Work/Permit to work in Switzerland.
