We are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and we provide warehousing and associated logistics and value-added service to traders, producers, financiers and consumers of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys and minor metals etc. Our worldwide offices and operations span across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, and US. Each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including Commercial, Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, Customer Service, and Operations.

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will manage and co-ordinate projects, warehouse and stock management operations across several locations in the country to ensure that our customers’ requirements are met.

Duties will include but not limiting to:

  • Management of operation team in Thailand.
  • Procurement of competitive costs and hunting for new service providers for existing business to ensure competitive options are available for commercial department.
  • Procurement of costs inclusive of warehouse, material handling equipment, manpower, truck & trailers and service providers to fit within budget and meet with business requirement for project logistics.
  • Management of existing and new service providers to ensure the delivery of services are met with KPI for each product and project.
  • To work closely with customs authority and related authorities such as Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to get approval of inbound cargo into free trade zone.
  • To plan and co-ordinate the daily warehouse and stock planning and execution of the receiving, releasing, storage, warehousing and loading or our inbound and outbound shipments across all warehouse locations.
  • Develop standardized warehouse and stock management operations procedures and related documentation as per the companies/customer requirements.
  • To check and verify each warehouse and stock management locations for stocks reconciliations and consolidate and report on the results. To troubleshoot and resolve any issues of stock discrepancy and non-compliances (if any).
  • Work closely with Singapore’s Operation, Compliance and Risk department to ensure that scheduled audits are conducted smoothly and to ensure all identified issues/corrective actions are promptly addressed and corrected.
  • Review, update and analyze system data and reports to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
  • To review, update and analyze the data, reports, and overall performance of each warehouse and stock management location.
  • Identify operations bottlenecks/gaps/problems and lead the review to recommend better operations processes to achieve higher efficiency.
  • Frequent domestic traveling to warehouses, job sites and international traveling.

Potential candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in engineering and / or logistics from a recognized university.
  • High business acumen, excellent organization, analytical & communication skills.
  • Min 10 years of experience with the third-party warehousing and logistics service provider sector preferably with experiences in handling of non-ferrous, ferrous metals, agriculture commodities, chemical, mineral and industrial products.
  • Min 5 years of experience in management of third parties service providers, cost procurements and management of team with combination of white and blue collar workers.
  • Proven leadership skills, Process orientated thinking with the ability to build, maintain and grow a high-performance operation team.
  • Demonstrated warehousing and logistics operations expertise such as calculation of warehouse utilization, design warehousing and logistics solution.
  • Able to work well and make decision in a fast-moving business environment.
  • Able to work in a irregular hours for special project and problem solving cases.
  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional and multicultural / matrix teams.
  • Strong character, initiative, creative and innovative.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
