Reports to the Projects Head, Global, the highly motivated individual will possess the relevant skill sets, capable of establishing and developing client and vendor relationships in LATAM, including transporters, route consultants, port operators, carriers etc.; Head our Project logistics presence within LATAM generating new business opportunities through own network as well as leveraging the company’s existing network; Supporting other global project teams for projects originating in or destined for LATAM region; The ability to plan and execute complex logistics and transportation projects including Heavy Lift projects within Americas and abroad.   • Develop New Network Partners across LATAM for strategic locations

  • Support existing Project departments within Africa, APAC, Middle East and Europe in drafting complex project logistics proposals and execution thereof for clients based in LATAM
  • Devise and implement the Commercial Strategy; identify business opportunities within the industry and convert into revenue
  • Responsible for the performance of complex and technical logistics operations for both overseas and in-country projects

  • Develop new markets outside of the current project business within Access World LATAM

En dependencia de: Stock Manager Ubicación: Durban Purpose of the position: Reporting into the Stock Manager, responsible and accountable for the handling of key accounts within the stock departments of the Access World Durban facility. The Stock Controller is to ensure that adequate, updated and correct inventory records are to be set up and maintained throughout the facility. All transactions of all inventories housed within the facility are to be properly documented with a sufficient audit trail being present. Objectives:
  • 100% of the cargo is to 100% accounted for 100% of the time.
  • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
  • Accurate reporting of client stock within the warehouse.

  • Manage all processes relating to stock control, including:
  • Validation of all received cargo within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Ensuring conformance to daily reports.
  • Drafting Packing list on instructions provided.
  • Client satisfaction.
  • Reporting per shipment on time in time.
  • Issuance of holding certificates.
  • Continuance of the information flow between the operations and admin teams.
  • The stock controller is responsible for ensuring all administrative information is a mirror image of the cargo housed within the metal’s facility and its movement thereof.
  • Any person that handles any cargo within the facility is personally accountable and responsible for the stock being handled.

Job Function:

  • Ensure invoices are dispatched regularly and in line with the procedure set out
  • Ensure supplier invoices are in line with proposed costing on Oracle and returned to the Manager
  • Ensure that clients are invoiced according to the Credit terms set out for their respective Accounts i.e. COD and Account clients
  • Taking responsibility for your files on your desk
  • Ensuring that your workstation is always kept neat
  • All files that you handle will be filled away by yourself
  • Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
  • Ensure client-specific regulations and operational requirements as per client SOP i.e. Border Processors, Healthcare, Pharma, Foodstuffs, Dangerous Goods, Arms Control Compliance, etc. are adhered to
  • Ensure performance deviations are appropriately documented and reported

  • Ensuring Shipments are captured on the Over border Transport schedule
  • Tracking of Deliveries, Monitoring loading and offloading delays
  • Communicating with customers and updating them regularly
  • Monitor Transport costs such as Standing Time, and obtaining supporting documents from transporters for recovery
  • Ensuring all mails are attended to within 24 hours of receiving them
  • File Management
  • All queries are attended to within 48 hours of receiving them
  • Monitor all creditor payments and processing of invoices
  • Complying with Department SOP
  • Require Abnormal Transport knowledge and understand the direct discharge process prior to vessel berth
  • Understanding various transport routes for over border and border documents for import/export clearance

  • Facilitate a customs entry between Transporter and clearing agent
  • Sourcing new transporters
  • Facilitate loading from various ports and warehouses

Job Function:
  • Sourcing of trucks

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Tertiary Education or studying towards(Advantage)
  • 3 / 5 years' experience in the Over border Transport Industry

En dependencia de: Finance Manager Departamento: Finanzas Ubicación: Durban Purpose of the position: The Accountant will be responsible for the accurate reporting for the South African entities in terms of IFRS and focus on monthly financial and management accounting. Key Requirements/ Responsibilities:
  • Maintain full control of the bookkeeper function in the financial/administration department
  • Maintain and review internal controls and implement policies and procedures
  • Financial/Administration Duties
  • Adhere to all deadlines
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow Statements

  • Monthly Business Unit expense analysis

  • Audit and review of Petty Cash recons

Day to day tasks:
  • Preparation of journal entry postings
  • Review of interfacing files, across all regions in AWSA and resolution of issues identified

  • Daily reporting on specific account balances
  • Daily/weekly reporting of intercompany balances
  • Guiding the rest of the finance team (including AP/AR/Accountants) by providing support to ensure accurate reporting
Month end tasks:
  • Review of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of key balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of journals required for revenue accruals, revenue reports and analysis of revenue system reports
  • Preparation of Month end reporting to Group: FRP submission by region for accuracy
  • Assistance with monthly schedules / accrued expenses recons/ prepayments
  • Review of business units PnL by ensuring accuracy on PnL reporting
  • Working with different business units to understand segment reporting
  • Liaising with various business units (operations /legal / HR/ GM’s) to provide solutions
Other Responsibilities:
  • Assistance with preparation of year-end financial statements
