Ubicación: New York / Hybrid Objetivos del puesto: We are seeking a motivated Commercial Analyst / Intern to support our Nonferrous Commercial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in commodities, finance, and the agile supply chains that support physical trading and distribution. The position offers hands-on exposure to the commercial side of supply chain operations, particularly in the metals and mining sector, and the opportunity to see how deals progress from pricing through execution. Key Responsibilities Commercial Support & Quoting:
  • Prepare competitive pricing analysis to support commercial proposals and quotations for metals and mining clients. Maintain and update rate sheets, cost models, and pricing templates.
  • Stock Reporting: Manage and compile reports on stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for decision making.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on global commodities markets, including supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and economic indicators.
  • Project Support: Assist in various projects related to commodities trading and logistics, offering support where needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Recent degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, or a related field.
  • A keen interest in the logistics and commodities sector, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Right to Work/Permit to work in United States.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new trade lane business (with focus on import business)
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients

  • Manage key import accounts and ensure client satisfaction

  • Negotiate rates and prepare competitive quotations

Specific requirements for the position
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, or related field
  • 3–5 years’ sales experience in freight forwarding/logistics
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Fluent in English; other languages, especially Spanish or Portuguese a big plus
  • Understanding of at least one of the listed import markets: Africa/ South Africa; LATAM (Chile and Brazil);
  • Knowledge of import business from above markets strongly preferred.
  • Hunter mentality, sales & results-driven
Preferido:
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, ocean/air freight, and customs brokerage

Departamento: IT Depende de: Senior Group IT Manager Objetivos del puesto: We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, stability and evolution of our global infrastructure environment. While this position is physically based in Durban, South Africa, the role provides support to various teams across Access World’s global operations, working closely with stakeholders and managing team members across multiple countries, across multiple countries and regions. This is a strategic technical leadership role responsible for ensuring the performance, resilience and security of enterprise infrastructure platforms that support international operations. The role will oversee hybrid infrastructure environments, lead infrastructure projects, and guide a team responsible for maintaining mission-critical technology services. As IT Infrastructure Manager, you will:
  • Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of global infrastructure platforms
  • Ensure high availability, performance and resilience of enterprise systems
  • Manage hybrid environments including Microsoft infrastructure, Azure cloud platforms and enterprise networking
  • Provide technical leadership on infrastructure transformation and technology projects
  • Strengthen cybersecurity, governance and compliance standards across infrastructure environments in collaboration with our internal InfoSec team.
  • Lead and develop a team of infrastructure engineers and system administrators
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology investments

El candidato ideal será responsable de impulsar el crecimiento del negocio identificando nuevas oportunidades, estableciendo relaciones con clientes potenciales y ampliando nuestros servicios logísticos. Este puesto requiere un sólido conocimiento del sector del transporte de mercancías, excelentes habilidades de comunicación y un historial probado en ventas. Responsabilidades clave:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector, focusing on air, ocean, and road transportation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their logistics needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Generate and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets, ensuring consistent business growth.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and seamless customer experiences.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure long-term business partnerships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt business strategies and remain competitive.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, highlighting key performance metrics and growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through regular follow-ups and relationship-building activities.
Cualificaciones y competencias:
  • Licenciatura en Empresariales, Logística, Gestión de la Cadena de Suministro o un campo relacionado.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and logistics solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing long-term business relationships.
  • Excelentes dotes de comunicación, negociación y presentación.
  • Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Disponibilidad para viajar a reuniones con clientes y eventos del sector.

Departamento: Comercial Depende de: Director Comercial, Transporte de Mercancías y Proyectos Objetivos del puesto:
  • Persona muy motivada con las aptitudes pertinentes, capaz de establecer y desarrollar relaciones con clientes, transportistas/corredores, transportistas y operadores portuarios, etc.
  • Encabezar la creación y el crecimiento de un servicio de expedición de carga general
  • Adquisición de tarifas de la red de proveedores existente dentro de la organización, así como de la propia red de proveedores establecida.
  • Proporcionar propuestas de negocio a las partes interesadas internas para seguir apoyando el crecimiento de la oficina local de expedición de mercancías.
Responsabilidades:
  • Búsqueda de nuevos negocios relacionados con la compensación y la expedición, centrándose en los negocios de importación y exportación a nivel local.
  • Crear una nueva base de clientes
  • Alcanzar los objetivos anuales de ventas individuales
  • Formular un plan de acción de ventas de 6 a 12 meses en consonancia con los segmentos del mercado de materias primas del grupo.
  • Aprovechar la red propia y seguir estableciendo relaciones con diversos socios, como asociaciones, transportistas de contenedores y miembros de la red en todo el mundo.
  • Gran capacidad de trabajo en equipo y de colaboración con los miembros del equipo operativo, así como de enlace y coordinación con los proveedores (operadores portuarios, autoridades, transportistas, etc.) y los clientes internos.
  • Comunicarse, compartir y colaborar con todas las sucursales de Access World en el extranjero en relación con los clientes potenciales generados desde y hacia cualquier lugar.
  • Informes mensuales de actividad comercial en forma de cartera de ventas
  • Trabajar con el Director directo en todos los requisitos de ventas, desarrollo empresarial y presupuestación.
  • La capacidad de llegar al resto de APAC y al resto del mundo es una ventaja
  • Se valorará la experiencia en carga de proyectos
