Whilst Access World ensures the highest level of service delivery to our clients, we also need to ensure that in the hustle and bustle of our daily operations, safety is at the centre of our focus.

Forklifts are one of the most used machines in our daily operations, but are also one of the leading causes of incidents within terminals in the industry. Two of the main causes of incidents with forklifts within the logistics industry are due to forklifts being overturned or individuals being run over. The incidents can often be accredited to a lack of training of a large number of forklift operators in the industry.

Safety training at Access World Mozambique

In light of these facts, Access World Beira recently hosted a training for all forklift drivers at our warehouse in Mozambique. All of our drivers underwent advanced Forklift Operator Training, which included both practical as well as theoretical assessment. These ensure that our operators on site are equipped with the skillsets and practical knowhow on how to operate our machinery at all times. Thereby ensuring they, as well as their colleagues, can go home safely at the end of their shift!
