On the 16th of December 2019 Access World entered into a Soft Commodity Strategic Alliance Agreement with the Johor Port Berhad (JPB). Under the strategic alliance, JPB and Access World will co-operate and combine resources with the vision of increasing the volume of soft commodities entering and being traded in Johor.
The agreement comes after a long lasting 15-year working relationship between Access World and JPB. The agreement was signed by Shahrull and Access World’s Regional General Manager, South East Asia, Yanto Tan. The signing was witnessed by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Johor Port Chairman and Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Bhd Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh and Access World’s Director Commercial, Asia Pacific, Alfred Vermeulen.
As a regional commodity hub, everything from cocoa, coffee, palm oil have been catered for through the port’s facilities and Access World offers specialised warehousing and logistics services for these soft commodities products. Customers can also look forward to the convenience of one-stop value-add services such as repacking, enabling them to maximise and localise their Supply Chain to serve regional markets in South East Asia.
