Update expansion Access World Vlissingen
In 2019, Access World signed a contract with North Sea Port for the expansion of the current site in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. In response to these plans, we are happy to share the latest developments, which will almost double the terminal size to 16,5 hectares.
The highlights of this expansion:
- The length of our quay side will be extended from 40 meters to 290 meters
- Construction of three new warehouses covering 27.500 m2 for storing all kinds of commodities and cargo flows
- Better facilities for value added logistics (crushing, packing and screening)
- New office space & upgrade parking facilities
Our extended quay will provide better access to larger and more modern (break-)bulk vessels with a draught up to 13 meters. The increased warehousing capacity will enable clients to store all kinds of cargo flows at Access World in Vlissingen. All warehouse upgrades will be fully operational by end Q1 2021, the Quay expansion will be fully operational by early 2022. Access World Vlissingen is active in the fields of warehousing and transshipment for shipping and logistical services related to Ferro Alloys destined for the steel industry, for example. Its activities also include warehousing and transshipment of minerals and other bulk products. Access World Vlissingen is strategically located between the seaports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and has open access to the North Sea.
