UPDATE ON COVID-19 RESPONSE

17 March 2020

Dear Valued Customers:

Access World continues to closely monitor and respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on our people, the communities where we operate and our broader business.

This is an unprecedented situation and we understand the importance of being a reliable service provider that our customers can depend on. Through our business continuity planning, we aim to minimise disruption so we can continue to honour our commitments to fulfil customer requirements and protect the safety and health of our employees and contractors.

Employee safety:

Our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our employees and contractors and we are taking a range of actions to keep our people safe.

We are closely monitoring and tracking recommendations and directives from authorities and health departments.

  • As appropriate, we have implemented work at home arrangements and are supporting flexible work schedules.
  • Non-essential domestic and international travel has been suspended.
  • We are encouraging precautionary practices such as personal distancing and hand washing and we have increased cleaning and sanitation at our facilities and offices.
  • Extensive plans are in place to ensure the health and safety of our warehouse-based employees, including the provision of appropriate additional personal protective equipment, sanitizers and planning for social distancing through rotational work patterns and re-demarcation of work areas.

Continued Service Delivery:

We are committed to taking all appropriate steps to ensure the continuation of our services to meet the needs of our customers. We are monitoring developments closely and ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations. To this end detailed plans are in place to minimise service interruptions and will be activated as appropriate and as dictated by the rapidly evolving situation. In such cases please note any relevant notices issued locally by Access World offices for more detailed jurisdictional information.

While we are doing our utmost to ensure that negative impacts on our services are minimised, certain factors remain outside of our control. In particular, we are monitoring the possibility of port and border delays and closures as well as operational capability of our own service providers.

Nothing is more important to us than our core values of health and safety – for our employees, our customers, and our communities and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Carr
