岗位地点: Durban

Key Requirements/ Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Shipments are captured on the Over border Transport schedule
  • Tracking of Deliveries, Monitoring loading and offloading delays
  • Communicating with customers and updating them regularly
  • Monitor Transport costs such as Standing Time, and obtaining supporting documents from transporters for recovery
  • Ensuring all mails are attended to within 24 hours of receiving them
  • File Management
  • All queries are attended to within 48 hours of receiving them
  • Monitor all creditor payments and processing of invoices
  • Complying with Department SOP
  • Require Abnormal Transport knowledge and understand the direct discharge process prior to vessel berth
  • Understanding various transport routes for over border and border documents for import/export clearance
  • Understand customs rules and regulations
  • Facilitate a customs entry between Transporter and clearing agent
  • Sourcing new transporters
  • Facilitate loading from various ports and warehouses
  • Keeping track of cargo and tonnages
  • Good excel skills for numerous forms of operational reporting
  • System orientated and process driven
  • Debtors (Invoicing, Recovery, Pod Tracking)

Job Function:

  • Sourcing of trucks
  • Updating daily shipment reports
  • Engaging with all transporters
  • Tracking deliveries daily for all customers
  • Facilitate the loading from Port
  • Following up with customs release on trucks with project controllers to avoid standing time
  • Engaging with warehouse on delays with loading of trucks
  • Working extended hours and weekends when required
  • Updating various reports
  • Following up with various ports and inspection teams to avoid delays in loading
  • Facilitate the customs entry
  • Engaging with customers for truck requirements
  • Obtaining transport rates and keep track of rate schedules
  • Keeping up to date with creditors payments, making sure invoices are processed on time
  • Communicating and engaging with various stakeholders internal and externally
  • Follow up on claims and keeping record of damages, incidents and accidents
  • Keeping track of all shipment file and managing costing schedules
  • Filing of documents

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary Education or studying towards(Advantage)
  • 3 / 5 years’ experience in the Over border Transport Industry
  • Computer Literate – MS Office Suite, Excel skills
  • Good Listening and communication
  • Oracle (Advantageous)
