Purpose of the position:

• A highly motivated individual with the relevant skill sets, capable of establishing and developing vendor relationships in Sub-Saharan Africa, including transporters/brokers and port operators etc.
• Procurement of transport and ocean freight rates locally and internationally for both import and export cargo.
• Preparation and sending of project quotations & Proposals.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customer relations with specific focus on Project Cargo.

• Attending to customer enquiries.
• Actively participate as a member of AW South Africa team and working closely with other Commercial and business unit Managers within Sub Saharan Africa and other global Access World entities.
• Compile proposals.
• Request rates from service providers.
• Establish and develop vendor relationships with abnormal transporters, breakbulk vessel brokers/carriers, Container shipping lines and freight forwarders in Access World office locations.
• Maintain high standard of service delivery.
• Communicate with suppliers and clients.
• Resolve problems efficiently.
• Address internal and external operational issues, liaising and coordinating with vendors (ports operators, transporters etc.) and internal clients.
• Liaise and update clients.
• Resolve queries.
• Monthly commercial activity reporting in form of current sales pipeline.
• Send customer on boarding docs and compile completed docs for submission to legal.
• Work through service agreements for secured business with legal department and projects head.

资格和经验：

• 必要
  • Minimum a college diploma/degree from recognized Institute.
  • Minimum 3-years sales/estimator experience in Sub Saharan Africa Project Forwarding especially via ports of entry such as Durban, Beira, Dar es Salaam and Walvis Bay.
  • Excellent commercial and entrepreneurial flair is critical to the success of this role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
